Meet the Staff

Nicky Metcalfe

Keeping her customers happy is what drives Nicky. Since joining FASTSIGNS Manchester in 2013, she has worked on numerous projects – but her favourite involved creating and installing visuals for Oldham Hulme Grammar School's science centre because of the students' positive reaction.

Nicky’s favourite place to travel is New York and she has her sights on Japan in the near future. Closer to home, she loves to visit Salford Quays (especially at night) and likes to take her mum out once a month for a meal – they are big fans of the food at Bundobust.

If she were ever to find herself on death row, her last meal would be:

• Starter: King prawns with garlic and chilli
• Main: Her mum's Christmas dinner
• Dessert: Sticky toffee pudding
• Drink: Pint of Wainwright beer

Bradley Hagon

Brad has been with the team since 2017, and it is his first full-time job outside of university. He really enjoys working on projects for client Micheldever Tyre and Auto Services – every job for them is different. He particularly likes working on the digital signage side of things.

Brad’s dream holiday destination is Dubai, but more locally you’ll find him at Old Trafford supporting the Reds.

For his final meal he’d opt for:

• Starter: Salt and pepper chicken
• Main: Big surf and turf
• Dessert: Oreo cheesecake
• Drink: Ciroc piña colada

Sam Okewumi

Sam has been working for FASTSIGNS Manchester for three and a half years and is the most relaxed and unflappable member of staff. He really enjoys the physical side of making signs – in particular raised signage.

He’s originally from Dublin so likes to go back and visit, but his favourite holiday destination is Spain for the sunshine. In Manchester, you’ll most likely find him at Turtle Bay or Wagamama.

If he ever had to make the choice, his last meal on death row would be:

• Starter: Spicy chicken wings
• Main: Special fried rice
• Dessert: Chocolate cake
• Drink: Hennessy and coke

Allison Bingham

Allison is our newest member of staff, starting in mid-2018, but she is already part of the furniture and has a great sense of humour. She really enjoys the variety of her role and there is something new to experience every day.

She’s a big fan of holidaying in Turkey, but if she could choose any place on Earth to visit it would have to be Las Vegas. Back in Manchester, she’s a regular at Deansgate Locks and recommends cocktails at Lola Lo – especially when the sun is shining. She’s also a fan of the Manchester Ghost Walks.

If she had to choose a final meal she’d opt for:

• Starter: Chicken pakora
• Main: Chicken tikka bhuna
• Dessert: Ice cream and jelly
• Drink: Cocktail – Raspberry spritz, Miami Vice

Dan Andrew-Pugh

Dan is the stalwart of the FASTSIGNS Manchester team, having been with us for six years. He thoroughly enjoys working on a wide variety of projects, all with their own unique challenges. He also greatly appreciates that he gets to manage such great production and installation teams.

The Maldives is top of his list when booking a holiday, but if he was staying closer to home he loves the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester. He’s also another avid Manchester United fan.

If he found himself on death row, his final meal would be:

• Starter: Lobster with chilli
• Main: Chateaubriand, chunky chips and gravy
• Dessert: Peanut butter cheesecake with vanilla ice cream
• Drink: Smokey Old Fashioned

Ged Brown

Ged has been with the FASTSIGNS Manchester team for over 18 months. The work he finds most interesting is for the large corporate clients – they each pose a unique challenge. He also enjoys the travelling aspect, and meeting new clients.

His favourite place to holiday is Italy. In Manchester, he likes to visit the Palace Theatre and the Opera House.

His last meal would consist of:

• Starter: Lobster
• Main: Tomahawk steak with chips
• Dessert: Sticky toffee pudding
• Drink: Bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey

Nick Ratcliffe, MBA

Nick is one of FASTSIGNS Manchester’s shareholders and provides support on the strategic development, business planning and structure of the company. His interests include music, travel, cooking, and he is also a trustee of the School Bus Foundation, a charity that provides life-changing opportunities to disadvantaged children.
