We Let Properties had to work hard to get its name out there and compete effectively in an extremely competitive market.

Background

Based in the heart of Manchester, We Let Properties is a residential lettings agency. In 2011, the firm approached us to strip the old vinyl from two cars, but the brief soon grew into a number of major branding projects. At the time, the firm had just two members of staff and had been trading for little over a year, while we had only been in business for 12 months.

Challenge

In a major UK city with a strong lettings market, We Let Properties had to work hard to get its name out there and compete effectively in an extremely competitive market. Increasing the company’s visibility was the top priority – however budgets were limited. The firm was based in a rented office, but wanted to ensure it had a professional feel when customers walked through the door.

Solution

After a collaborative planning process with the team at We Let Properties, we ensured that we fully understood their vision and their ideal objectives for the project. We saw that there were two areas that we needed to work on. Firstly, we set about creating a professional office space by creating branded posters of Manchester city centre and cut vinyl graphics for the office which immersed customers into the We Let Properties culture and operations. To continue the professional feel of the office environment that we had created, our team designed a suite of business stationery, including letterheads, compliment slips, corporate folders and branded pens.

Secondly, the company needed to raise its profile in the city. We designed a fresh look for the firm’s fleet of vehicles and produced branded, eye catching flyers to attract landlords and tenants to the business. To add a personal touch and encourage recommendations, we also created welcome cards for tenants moving into their new property.

When We Let Properties eventually moved to new premises in 2015, we were the natural partners for branding the new space. We responded by producing attention grabbing, illuminated signs and display pockets in the windows, as well as internal graphics.

Result

It would have been easy to do what the client had initially asked us to and simply remove the old vinyl from two cars. Instead, working with this brand has been the perfect example of how a comprehensive solution can help to develop the signage and visual graphics in other areas of the business. The We Let Properties team was delighted by our ability to understand its goals and how we could implement them.
