Illuminating a 30-Year Partnership

The Challenge:

For over three decades, we have had the privilege of working alongside Aerotron Ltd, a relationship built on trust, quality, and a shared vision for excellence.

In 2023, we installed the original signage for Aerotron’s facilities in Crawley. The original signs truly stood the test of time. Even years later, the structural integrity remained intact, a testament to the high-grade materials and craftsmanship poured into the initial build by FASTSIGNS®.

As Aerotron Ltd continues to lead in the aviation industry, the company sought a visual "refresh" to ensure its branding remained as dynamic as its operations.

Aerotron wanted to maintain their iconic branding while adding a modern, high-impact effect to their signage. The specific focus of this refresh was to illuminate the "blue ocean" area of their logo, creating a vibrant, depth-filled effect that would stand out both day and night.

Bespoke Fabrication

To achieve this finish, the team at FASTSIGNS® used their expertise and provided a solution using custom engineering:

Bespoke Lightbox Construction: We designed and manufactured a custom lightbox specifically tailored to the unique dimensions of the Aerotron logo.
Rim and Return Fabrication: This technique allowed for crisp, clean edges that define the logo's silhouette while housing the internal LED components.
Shallow Powder-Coated Frame: To ensure a sleek, modern profile, we fabricated a shallow frame finished with a durable powder coating. This provides a premium matte aesthetic that protects against the elements while keeping the focus on the illumination.

The installation phase presented a formidable technical challenge, primarily due to the building's height and the substantial weight of the new bespoke signage. Our team deployed specialized high-access equipment and coordinated a rigorous lifting plan to navigate the logistics of the site safely. The FASTSIGNS® installation team has years of experience in managing projects in a safe and efficient manner.

The Result:

This project highlights the importance of quality-first manufacturing. Because the foundations we laid in 2013 were so solid, the transition to this new, illuminated look was seamless ensuring Aerotron remains a standout presence for years to come.
