Large-Scale Illuminated Fascia Sign Installation in Maidstone
The Challenge
RVT Group Ltd required a bold and highly visible illuminated signage solution in Maidstone to enhance their building presence and ensure strong brand visibility from a distance.
The brief was to design, manufacture, and install a large-scale dimensional illuminated logo onto a building clad with corrugated metal sheeting. The scale of the sign, combined with the installation height of approximately 12 metres, introduced several logistical and technical challenges.
Working with corrugated cladding required careful consideration for fixing methods to ensure a secure and level installation across an uneven surface. In addition, the size of the sign — spanning over 10 metres in width — meant that both production and installation needed to be precisely planned.
Access to the installation area also required specialist equipment, with a cherry picker necessary to safely position and install the sign at height.
The Solution
FASTSIGNS® Tunbridge Wells produced a custom illuminated fascia sign measuring 10500mm x 1526mm x 100mm, designed to deliver maximum visual impact both during the day and at night.
The sign was manufactured as a series of face-lit LED channel letters, featuring:
- White acrylic faces for bright, even illumination
- Black returns to create depth and contrast
- A perforated vinyl effect across the letter faces, adding a distinctive branded finish
Each letter was precision fabricated to ensure consistency across the full
width of the sign, with internal LED illumination providing a clean and
professional glow.
Installation was carried out using a cherry picker to safely access the
12-metre-high mounting position. Due to the corrugated cladding, the team
carefully aligned and fixed each element to maintain a straight and level
finish across the uneven surface.
As part of the installation, our team also completed the on-site electrical connection, ensuring the sign was fully operational and illuminated upon completion.
The entire project was completed over a three-month timeline, including approximately three weeks of production and a full day on-site installation.

The completed installation delivers a striking and highly visible example of commercial signage in Maidstone, significantly enhancing the external appearance of the RVT Group building.
The large illuminated lettering ensures the brand is clearly visible both day and night, helping the business stand out within its surroundings.
