Branding to Boost Identity

The Challenge:

Broadacre Primary School, based in Hull, required various ‘foamex’ signs to be installed across the interior of their education site. This project included school-branded identification signs, wall murals, a timeline with famous figures from Hull, and custom foamex strips to be positioned on the stairs.

These internal signs and visual solutions needed to evoke a consistent theme for their school, creating a sleek, professional identity that was also uniquely linked to the Hull area. Here’s how we helped to bring their signage vision to reality:

The Solution:

Each of these custom signs were created with edge-trimmed foamex panels, a type of lightweight PVC which allows for easy installation. These panels are also strong and resistant to damage, effective as long-term internal signs, which are susceptible to contact from staff, students, and visitors.

These properties further advance the versatility of the panels, being able to utilise them across different places on the school premises, for example as large wall murals and small stair strips. In addition, the printability of foamex fulfills the school’s requirement for presentable, high-quality internal signs, being able to clearly display key information to staff and students.

To finish this project, we installed all the school signs and visual solutions to the correct areas around the premises. We used screws to secure the wall murals and graphics in position, whilst the strips were carefully bonded to the stair surfaces.

The Result:

Our expert sign makers were able to provide Broadacre Primary School with an array of internal signs and visual solutions, which accurately reflected their unique brand. These custom signs also included references to the Hull area, via the timeline and the stair strips, effectively meeting the school’s specifications and ensuring full-satisfaction with the project.
