Outstanding Outdoor Custom Signs

The Challenge:

P&A Home Mate Ltd are a property improvement company based in Hull, offering a wide range of solutions to help upgrade your homes and bring your designs to life. They were looking to have outdoor custom signs, including a post and panel sign, created and installed in front of their business’ store to brand and advertise their showroom to potential customers. This is where our professional team at FASTSIGNS® Hull came in to help on this custom signs task.

The Solution:

Starting with the building storefront, our experts made this outdoor custom sign by using an aluminium composite material (ACM) tray as the base for the design. The vinyl print, which displays the basic layout and business’ Hull shop details on the tray as required, was laminated to protect against any damage or deterioration from the outdoor elements - such as rain, sunlight, humidity and any other chemicals present. This lamination further helps to provide a more aesthetically pleasing appearance and finish to the design, including an easily-cleaned surface to keep the outdoor custom sign looking spotless over time for the business.

The custom sign lettering and house logo were also both made using ACM, fret cutting these elements before fixing them onto the tray using standoff locators. This method ensures that the outdoor custom sign has a unique, 3D appearance, attracting the attention of customers travelling past the business’ Hull building.

For the post and panel sign, this was created via ACM too, although making it double-sided in this instance to successfully advertise our client’s business from all angles. The house symbol at the top was again fret cut to present an eye-catching custom sign design for people passing by, allowing for intricacy in completing its complex shape to a high-quality standard.
