The Solutions:

East Coast Padel Clubs

Opening in 2025, East Coast Padel Clubs is a new padel club in Hull. A sport that is rapidly growing in popularity around the world, they required various custom signs to advertise the business on site. This included entrance signage, wayfinding solutions, informational visuals such as location of equipment, and other types of branding.

As always, we directly consulted with the client to understand their specific requirements, creating signs and visual solutions that fitted their needs. For example, we produced the entrance sign using ACM, a cost-effective but long-lasting substrate. This is because of its two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a polyethylene core, making it a popular choice for outdoor signage due to these properties. Furthermore, we laminated the vinyl print that was applied to the ACM substrate, providing extra-protection against the weather elements and any other potential physical damage.

We utilised ACM for ‘The Bat & Ball Shed’ signage too, with this being placed outdoors exposed to exterior damage. Overall, these fully comprehensive signs and visual solutions ensured that East Coast Padel Clubs had very effective branding in place, as they brought their business to life for the first time in the Hull area.

Turning Corners

Turning Corners is a not-for-profit charity based in Hull, focused on helping people recover from tough challenges in their life. This is done through their workshops around woodworking as well as recycling, fostering training and social inclusion to boost well-being and effectively rebuild lives.

The mental health organisation needed a large outdoor sign, as well as welcome signage, to be installed on the complex. Similar to East Coast Padel, we provided a tailored service to Turning Corners, to create high-quality visual solutions that suited their requirements.

Both outdoor signs were created from ACM. Like the previous example, using this substrate ensured a more cost-effective approach, whilst also enabling an easy transportation and installation due to its lightweight property. The ACM also has flexibility for being cut into various shapes and sizes, allowing our signage experts to productively create these different types of custom signs for the charity.

These visual solutions have resulted in advanced branding and wayfinding for Turning Corners, supporting staff and visitors in finding the organisation’s premises without issues.

The Business Hub

Active+ is a sports complex, which includes Little Monkeys soft play centre, offering various facilities like outdoor and indoor football pitches as well as a café bar. Meanwhile, Kaizen is a business management consultancy also positioned in the same building, specialising in finance, marketing, creative services, and technology. With two Hull companies from different sectors working from the same section of the complex, it was even more vital to provide custom signs that would help to correctly guide staff and clients.

To solve any potential problems, we produced various door and window graphics, clearly showing where each business’ entrance is situated. The use of frosted vinyl here helps to convey sleek, professional branding, whilst allowing for relevant privacy from the outside world. Additionally, we created some business identification signs, to properly present and brand the pair on site - giving further direction for visitors to the complex.

A final part to note from these different projects is the installation of directional signs, displaying all the companies based at the Hull complex. These include arrows to point people in the correct direction as they enter the area, with bold, brand-relevant colours helping to easily view each separate business. Moreover, all the wayfinding signs have been produced to a similar size and shape, presenting every company smartly at the front of the complex.
