The Brief
Seafront Motors is a well established car sales company based in Portsmouth. After trading for many years from their Southsea location the company was relocating the showroom to Fratton. A new premises meant the new showroom signage, both internal and external.
Due to the sizing of the existing signage at the Southsea showroom, it was not possible to transfer or make use of the current external signs. This also similarly applied to window graphics due to the nature of the product. Seafront came to FASTSIGNS Portsmouth to create new eye-catching signage.
The new premises stood proudly on a corner plot which was excellent positioning for brand awareness with potential customers from multiple directions. This meant two signs were required for maximum visibility. Additionally, further signage was also required to display other key information to prospective customers such as opening hours.
In addition, Material Things have a fleet of vehicles used for making deliveries. FASTSIGNS® Portsmouth designed and applied graphics to these vans, with all relevant information on display including branding, contact details, products and services.
The Challenge
One side of the showroom was considerably larger than the other, almost
twice the length and there was also some pipework located partway through
where the sign would be positioned. This meant the design team had to
carefully consider the layout of the design ensuring all the messaging
Seafront Motors required was
clearly displayed, uninterrupted.
For the additional signage that detailed opening hours and other marketing
information, we had to carefully consider how and where these would be displayed
and the best signage that would be appropriate.
The Solution
The exterior shop / showroom signs were split - the first sign with the most prominent position displayed the company’s name and contact information, whilst the second and longer sign was completed with services, further contact details and enough clearance for the pre-existing pipework.
Perforated vinyl was used on the windows to detail additional marketing information whilst giving an element of privacy away from passersby. Vinyl was also used on the door to display operating hours.
The Result
As a result of the new exterior shop sign, perforated window vinyl and door vinyl, Seafront Motors now has smart and eye-catching visual signage.
