Fleet Branding & Safety Graphics for Access Equipment

Project Overview

FASTSIGNS® Manchester works with Peter Douglass Platforms to brand their fleet of access equipment across Stockport and the wider Cheshire area.

The project focuses on applying vehicle graphics and high-visibility safety markings to machinery that operates across multiple sites, roads, and customer locations.

For businesses with mobile equipment like this, branding isn’t just about appearance. It’s about being seen, being recognised, and operating safely in public environments.

The Challenge

When machinery is constantly moving between jobs, it becomes a missed opportunity if it isn’t clearly branded.

Without consistent graphics, equipment can look unprofessional, be harder to identify, and fail to reinforce the company behind the work.

At the same time, vehicles and machinery operating on or near roads must meet Chapter 8 safety requirements, which include high-visibility chevron markings to improve visibility for other road users.

Peter Douglass Platforms needed a solution that handled both:

  • Clear, consistent branding across their fleet
  • Compliance with safety regulations
  • Durable materials that can withstand daily use

The Solution

FASTSIGNS® Manchester supplied and installed a combination of custom vehicle graphics and reflective safety chevron kits across the fleet.

The branding was produced using 5-year digitally printed vinyl with a gloss laminate, designed to withstand outdoor conditions, regular cleaning, and heavy use.

To meet safety requirements, Chapter 8 reflective chevrons were applied to the rear of each machine, ensuring they remain highly visible, particularly in low-light or roadside environments.

Each machine was branded consistently, turning the entire fleet into a moving advertisement for the business while remaining fully compliant.

The Process

As an ongoing client, Peter Douglass Platforms benefit from a streamlined process that allows new machines to be branded quickly as their fleet grows.

Each unit is prepared, fitted with graphics, and finished with chevron kits, ensuring consistency across all equipment.

Because the process is repeatable and well managed, FASTSIGNS® Manchester can deliver a fast turnaround without compromising on quality, supporting the client’s day-to-day operations.

The Result

The branded fleet now works harder for the business every day.

The impact includes:

  • A more professional and credible appearance on-site and on the road
  • Increased brand visibility across multiple locations
  • Improved safety through compliant high-visibility markings
  • A scalable solution as new equipment is added to the fleet

For Peter Douglass Platforms, this means every piece of machinery is not just functional — it actively supports their brand and reputation.
