Outdoor Sign Suited for New Store

The Challenge:

Gallipots are a pet care and grooming business, initially based in South Cave on the outskirts of Hull. With a new store opening in Driffield, East Yorkshire, they required a new outdoor sign with 3D lettering for their shop front, to effectively advertise their brand and welcome customers through the doors. The Solution:

First, we brought the outdoor sign contents to life, printing it onto vinyl. This was further laminated to ensure the signage would be long-lasting outdoors, with the business name ‘Gallipots’ clearly outlined. This would allow the foamex lettering to be precisely placed on the ACM sign. The use of aluminium composite material (ACM) here enables outdoor durability and a more cost-effective solution than aluminium for example, due to its polyethylene core that is in between two thin aluminium sheets.

Then, we used our CNC router for the 10mm foamex lettering, programmed to meticulously fret cut the business icon and name. The use of white foamex here helps to make the ‘Gallipots’ branding stand out, especially once positioned on the outdoor sign panel. Check out the professional finish of the CNC router below!

Now with the lettering produced, we were able to bond the foamex to the outdoor sign panels. The lightweight, easy-to-handle and install nature of foamex allowed this to be seamless, sticking the lettering accurately using adhesive mounting tape. The Gallipots paw print icon showcases the fantastic versatility of foamex, ensuring we could create intricate, high-quality lettering that fully-satisfies our customer’s signage needs.

Once all the foamex lettering had been bonded to the ACM surface, it was time to get the outdoor sign packaged and ready for installation by our fitting team, so Gallipots would have the visual solution in time for their Driffield store opening.
