Internal Signs Suited for Schools!

The Challenge:

Southcoates Primary Academy is a primary school based in Hull. The academy required some custom internal signs, to update their interior visual appearance for staff, students, and visitors alike.

The Solution:

Once the quote and artwork was all approved, our production team started by printing the vinyl, which would be implemented for the internal signs. This was done using our Epson printer, ensuring a top-quality output for all the school’s signage. Next, we laminated the vinyl designs as required by the customer, allowing for extra-protection from any potential damage. This includes factors like physical contact, where staff or students may touch or brush against the visual solutions, ensuring the signs are long-lasting for Southcoates Primary Academy.

Then, after laminating and trimming the vinyl, we used our RollsRoller to mount the school graphics to the foamex panels. Adapting foamex as the internal sign substrate meant a lightweight and easy-to-transport option for the academy, whilst also being cost-effective compared to other solutions like ACM or acrylic. These benefits of foamex are particularly evident when applied indoors, as its foamboard material isn’t really suitable for long-term outdoor usage.

The Result:

This project saw us create various indoor signs, ready to be delivered to Southcoates Primary Academy. These foamex panels accurately met all branding and content requirements, due to the inclusion of the school’s logo, relevant text, and other graphics visible on the signage.
