The Challenge:
Venn Boulevard Centre is an alternative provision with special school status, based in Hull. Part of the Venn Academy Trust, the centre required some new outdoor signage and internal signs to boost branding, informational, and directional capabilities. The Solution:
Given the requirement for exterior and interior solutions, our sign experts had to adapt the substrates proposed to provide appropriate results. For the outdoor signage, we quoted to use aluminium composite material (ACM), which would give the school cost-effective and long-term visual solutions. Furthermore, the lamination of these ACM signs helped to ensure extra-protection from the weather and other physical contact, preventing the need to regularly change these exterior signs.
For the internal welcome sign that the centre required, we recommended the use of foamex as the substrate. This is because of its lightweight and transport-friendly characteristics, as well as its cost-effective nature for interior applications, especially compared to ACM. The foamex sign would also be laminated, helping to protect against potential damage from physical contact, if brushed past for example.
