St Aidan's Church
Custom Site Signs That Welcome Church Visitors

The Challenge:
St Aidan’s Church in Hull required various new outdoor entrance signs, across their site on Southcoates Avenue. With design concepts ready to go, the local church contacted our Hull sign experts to bring these ideas to life, including installation at the end of the project. Check out how we fulfilled their specific requirements!

The Solution:
St Aidan’s had multiple entrance sign needs for their church site. Including two post and panel solutions, a reskin of an existing sign, a logo sign, and a tray sign with fret cut letters, there were various signage necessities for us to carry out. Read some of the unique conditions for producing these site signs below!
x2 Post and Panel Signs
Due to outdoor installation requirements, both of these post and panel signs were created using aluminium composite material (ACM) panels, with the vinyl printed and laminated onto each face. The adaptation of ACM and lamination here helps to advance the lifespan of the signage, allowing us to provide long-lasting, outdoor visual solutions for St Aidan’s.
For this particular project, our fitting team had to fit the poles for these post and panel signs, as well as the rails, clips, and post caps to ensure an effective install.
Reskin of Existing Signage
To successfully repurpose one of the old site signs, our Hull team had to remove the previous graphics, before carefully cleaning the substrate surface. Then, we professionally applied the new vinyl to the signage using our Rolls Roller, preventing any potential quality issues. Following these steps ensured the reskinned sign was as good as new, meaning St Aidan’s could be fully-confident in reusing the custom sign for their church site.
Logo and Tray Sign
A further component of this project was to provide a circular, ACM logo sign, as well as an ACM tray with bonded fret cut foamex letters. Both visual solutions were to be installed above the main entrance to the Hull church, with the logo fitted using stand off fixings to provide an appealing 3D effect. The tray signage also adds depth when installed, whilst further improving rigidity and weather-resistance against the outdoor elements.
