Brick Wall Graphics Installation in Paddock Wood

The Challenge

Zendbox Ltd required large-scale wall graphics in Paddock Wood to enhance their internal warehouse environment and reinforce their branding across key areas of the space.

The project involved applying graphics directly onto black-painted brick walls, which present a far more challenging surface than standard flat substrates. Achieving a long-lasting finish on brick requires the right materials and installation techniques to ensure the vinyl adheres properly into the uneven surface and mortar lines.

In total, the project covered four large brick walls, each measuring approximately 5620mm x 1600mm, creating a significant visual impact within the space.

One of the walls also included obstacles that needed to be worked around, requiring careful planning and precision during installation to maintain the integrity of the design.

The Solution

FASTSIGNS Tunbridge Wells produced and installed a series of printed branding graphics, using artwork supplied by the client.

To ensure strong adhesion to the textured brick surface, we used MDU Metagrab A vinyl, paired with MD101 MB laminate. This combination is specifically designed for challenging surfaces, allowing the vinyl to conform into the contours of the brickwork for improved durability and longevity.

During installation, we used a heat gun to warm the vinyl, making it more pliable so it could be carefully pressed into the brick and mortar lines. This process is essential for achieving a professional finish and ensuring the graphics remain securely bonded over time.

All graphics were contour cut, which proved particularly useful on one wall where we needed to work around existing fixtures. This allowed us to install the graphics cleanly without compromising the design.

Access to the installation areas was managed using a scaffold tower, with additional reach achieved using a telescopic ladder where required. Despite the scale and complexity, the entire installation was completed efficiently within one day.

The Result

The finished installation delivers bold and highly visible industrial wall graphics that reinforce Zendbox’s branding throughout their facility.

The graphics integrate seamlessly with the brick surface, creating a painted-on effect while maintaining the texture and character of the wall.
