The result was a seamless blend of style and substance, with clear branding that spoke volumes both externally and internally.

The Challenge

NBC Universal Studios was relocating to a new facility and required comprehensive signage that would make a powerful impression inside and out. The primary goal was to ensure the brand was visible from afar while providing clear navigation for visitors and deliveries once they arrived.

Given the building's large size, we needed to ensure the signage did not go unnoticed. We were tasked with balancing high-impact branding with the functional requirements of a busy production environment.

The Solution

To address the sheer scale of the building, we utilised a diverse range of visual communication solutions.

For the exterior, we chose large flexface signs. We crafted a massive 6x4-metre square sign placed 9 metres high on the wall facing the car park. This allowed visitors to instantly recognise the building and find their way to the reception. Meanwhile, a more stylised, shaped flexface sign featuring built-up letters was installed on the side facing the main road. These letters were mounted on powder-coated rails that matched the colour of the building, maintaining a sleek and consistent look while working with the building's cladding.

To further guide guests and deliveries, a powder-coated post and panel sign was strategically positioned by the road.

In the offices, we installed a bespoke vinyl wall with the brand graphics. This was also installed over a massive 12.5m x 3.3m warehouse office space. In the reception area, a stunning 10mm flat-cut letter logo was fixed flush to the wall behind the desk, reinforcing the brand identity.

Inside the building, we also brought functionality and flair together with a whiteboard showcasing an aerial view map of the premises and the nearby Sky Studios, providing essential information about ongoing productions.

The Result

The result was a seamless blend of style and substance, with clear branding that spoke volumes both externally and internally. Outside, the signage was effortlessly visible from a distance and from any direction, acting as a beacon for visitors and passers-by. Inside, the reception logo amplified the brand’s presence, while the wall graphics celebrated Universal's film legacy in a fun and engaging way. The client was extremely pleased with the results and has recommended us to their neighbour.
