Muhannad has worked in the printing industry for over 15 years, developing his knowledge and skills through a variety of roles as he climbed the ladder towards management. After relocating his family to England in 2016, he decided he wanted to take on the challenge of running his own business, and chose FASTSIGNS because of its support and international standing.

A new look for K-Sports

K-Sports gym and sports ground wanted to build its presence in the local market, so the team approached FASTSIGNS Maidstone when undertaking a complete re-brand of the building, and for advice on new materials.

K-Sports wanted clean, simple yet motivational signs and branding throughout the centre, so we chose relevant graphics that met the branding guidelines.

Combining messages with its multi-coloured arrow logo, we were able to produce graphics that would keep the centre’s clients motivated, informed and safe. This included directional signs to help people move around the building easily, inspiring messages on the walls to promote fitness goals, and safety warnings in areas of the venue where there may be hazards.

After successfully delivering the signage, we have continued to work with K-sports, offering advice whenever it has been needed to help grow the facility.

I am very proud to say that, as a team, we’re all pretty active – so when we heard about FASTSIGNS’ nationwide challenge to raise money for charity, we couldn’t wait to get involved.

As part of the ‘FASTSIGNS Goes the Extra Mile’ campaign we, along with the 16 other centres in the UK, were asked to raise as much money as we can for The Simon Cooper Foundation, a charity that supports those living with life-limiting conditions.

Altogether, the FASTSIGNS UK network has pledged to walk, cycle or run 720 miles – the distance between all of the UK Centres – over 17 weeks from May to August this year. Each centre will cover 42.3 miles, but we’re aiming to reach even more if we can.

Our centre has teamed up with K Sports at Cobdown, to clock in our miles starting on August 20^th. One of our loyal clients, K-Sports has generously given our team a free week’s membership and installed a whiteboard near the cardio section inviting the gym regulars to donate their miles to the cause – we can’t thank them enough for their support.

As a sports fan, I am very excited to be a part of this challenge, and I know that my team, as well as the local community will help us smash our target. Charity work is extremely important to us, and this is an extremely good cause.

Launched by Simon Cooper, the son of the owners of the FASTSIGNS Enfield centre, Paul and Angela Cooper, The Simon Cooper Foundation provides support for patients who are living with life-limiting conditions like cancer or Cystic Fibrosis. Having suffered with both Cystic Fibrosis and cancer himself, Simon sadly passed away in July 2016, but with the help and work from the foundation, his legacy still lives on across the country.

As John Davies, Managing Director of FASTSIGNS UK, says: “The Simon Cooper Foundation is a charity that is very close to all our hearts here at FASTSIGNS UK so it’s fantastic that we’re able to do something special for such a worthy cause. We have such a fantastic network of UK centres so it’s great to see them all coming together to help raise some much-needed funds for so many people in need.”
