Stellar Signs and Graphics Transform Former Food Court into a Space Adventure

The Challenge

Little Astronauts, a new soft play centre concept in Hull, UK, needed to completely transform an empty, former food court inside the Prospect Shopping Centre, into an immersive indoor playground. Starting with a blank canvas and no existing graphics, they required a comprehensive visual solution that would captivate both children and parents, while fully aligning with their adventurous, space-themed brand identity.

The Solution

After conducting thorough site visits and consultations to understand the brand's vision, the FASTSIGNS® design team developed a vibrant, top-to-bottom visual strategy, to completely revitalise the space.

Expansive, colourful wall murals instantly transport visitors out of a traditional shopping centre and into an exciting galactic environment, wrapping the facility in the brand's adventurous spirit. Interactive decals engage young explorers at eye level, encouraging exploration and discovery as they navigate the different play zones.

To tie the entire space together, playful wayfinding signs safely and efficiently guide families throughout the centre, ensuring that even the functional signage reinforces the immersive cosmic theme at every turn.

The Result

The revitalised space successfully brought the Little Astronauts' vision to life, setting the perfect atmosphere for the new soft play concept. The seamless integration of captivating graphics exceeded the owners' expectations, proving instrumental in how the business is accurately and attractively promoted within the Prospect Shopping Centre. The unforgettable environment now continually fosters positive interactions and memorable experiences for local children and their families.
