Visual Strategy Revitalises Food Industry Workspace

The Challenge

Greencore Manton Wood, a major site for one of the UK's leading convenience food manufacturers, required a transformative visual solution, to modernise its workplace environment. The primary objective was to move beyond basic signage to create a holistic atmosphere that boosted employee engagement, while maintaining high operational standards. The facility needed to balance professional branding with the functional requirements of a busy industrial and office hub, ensuring that safety information remained highly visible without compromising the sophisticated aesthetic.

The Solution

The FASTSIGNS® design team developed a multi-layered approach to address both the aesthetic and functional needs of the facility. To inspire the workforce and strengthen brand identity, bespoke wall vinyls were installed across several offices, as well as two one-piece wall paper installations in the HR Office and Operations rooms, turning plain walls into vibrant, engaging focal points. For the communal areas, a custom-fabricated freestanding light box was introduced, serving as a modern branding centrepiece that provides both ambient lighting and a clear visual landmark for the facility.

Frosted window vinyls were applied to meeting pods and office spaces, offering necessary discretion for staff while maintaining a sleek, open-plan feel. To reinforce Greencore’s commitment to safety, custom communication boards were engineered with acrylic pockets to hold critical health, safety and fire information. These strategically placed boards ensure that the information is easily accessible and updatable, integrating essential compliance into the overall design of the workspace.

The Result

The project has successfully redefined the workplace at Greencore Manton Wood, setting a new industry standard for functional office design. The comprehensive solution not only enlivened the facility but also significantly improved operational efficiency and employee morale by creating a safer, more inspiring, and more cohesive environment for the entire team.
